Information on start-up
Before starting up for the first time and after any
lengthy period of storage always charge the inter-
nal battery of Carina for at least 2 hours.
Switching on Carina
1 Set the mains switch to » «. Carina conducts
a self-test.
During the self-test the screen indicates the
progress of the self-test.
CAUTION
The Carina shall not be operated immediately fol-
lowing storage or transport outside the recom-
mended operating conditions. Otherwise there is
a risk of malfunction. After prolonged storage at a
temperature and humidity outside the operating
range (refer to "Ambient conditions" on page 114),
the device must be brought to ambient room tem-
perature at the point of use for three hours before
being used.
