Preparation
HPO – High Pressure Oxygen mode
For O
2
supply to Carina from the central gas supply
or from a O
2
gas cylinder.
z Screw the O
2
compressed gas hose onto the
HPO nozzle of Carina. Supply with oxygen from
the central supply or from the O
2
gas cylinder.
LPO – Low Pressure Oxygen mode
For O
2
supply to Carina from a mobile oxygen
source, separate from a central high-pressure O
2
supply.
1 Remove the cap from the LPO nozzle for O
2
supply.
2 Connect the O
2
supply hose from the O
2
source
to the LPO nozzle.
3 Connect a flow control valve on the O
2
cylinder
with pressure gauge or a concentrator.
Observe the Instructions for Use for the O
2
components.
WARNING
O
2
compressed gas must be dust-free, oil-free
and dry and its pressure should be between
2.7 and 6 bar (270 and 600 kPa). Risk of fire.
WARNING
Only use O
2
gas supplies with 100 % O
2
. Risk
of incorrect FiO
2
at patient.
