Instructions for Use Carina SW 3.n
External battery connection

Insert the DC connector in the Carina.

Connect the external battery. Refer to the
Instructions for Use of the external battery.
The external battery is not charged from the Carina
mains supply!
External battery for 3rd party connection
12 to 24 V DC (–10 % to +30 %); 6.3 to 3.2 A
Ensure that the battery is connected with correct
polarity!

Insert the plug.

Connect a microfuse (6.3 A slow blow) to the
external battery.

Connect the cable to the microfuse.
The LED
flashes or lights up according to
the charge of the internal battery.
The external battery is not charged from the Carina
mains supply!
WARNING
Mains-powered equipment must not be con-
nected to the connection for an external bat-
tery. Risk of electric shock or equipment
damage.
CAUTION
Avoid high resistance in conjunction with the
external battery by keeping the electrical connec-
tors clean at all times to avoid insufficient power
being delivered to the device.
CAUTION
The external battery must always have sufficient
capacity as directed in the Instructions for Use for
the external battery.
