Preparation
Connecting to the power supply
A stationery device can be supplied either from the
mains or from an external battery. Both power
sources charge the internal battery.
If you are using the mains supply and a battery sup-
ply at the same time, the power supply from the
mains takes priority. The external battery supply is
switched off. The internal battery is charged from
the mains.
For mains operation
100 to 240 V AC; 50 to 60 Hz; 1.7 to 1.1 A
1 Plug the power cable into the device and secure
with the wire clip.
2 Insert the mains plug into a power socket.
The LED
flashes or lights up according to
the charge of the internal battery.
CAUTION
Maintain a sufficiently charged external battery on
hand, in the possible event of a power supply
failure.
NOTE
Route hoses safely to reduce the risk of tripping.
WARNING
IEC 60601-1-1, Edition 2004 (Safety of medical
electrical systems):
The use of portable multiway adapters is not
allowed!
NOTE
Use only power leads with connectors conforming
with the EN 60320 C17 or C13 standards, and
which can be secured with the wire clip and whose
power leads conform with national requirements.
