Maintenance of the internal battery
The battery has no memory effect.
If the battery is not used regularly it discharges.
Charge at regular intervals depending on ambient
temperature:
Every 3 months for –20 to +35 °C
Every month for +35 to +55 °C
Charge the battery more frequently at higher tem-
peratures.
Visual inspection of accessories
CAUTION
Even accessories designed to be reused (e.g.
after reprocessing) have a limited service life. Due
to a number of factors connected with handling
and reprocessing (e.g. disinfectant residues can
attack the material more intensely during auto-
claving), increased wear can occur and the serv-
ice life can be markedly shortened. These parts
must be replaced if signs of wear become visible,
such as cracks, deformation, discoloration, peel-
ing, etc.
