EMC protection is provided using a dedicated circuit. It is capable of handling over-
voltages of 600V, which should be sufficient for most applications.
Signal isolation is provided by using separate voltage sources on the DF8003 CPU
module (internal and external power) and the internal opto-couplers. The isolation
voltage guaranteed by the opto-coupler is 2500V.
7.2
DF8046 – NO inputs
The DF8046 4-input module provides 4 supervised inputs for normally open con-
tacts with the same characteristics as the line supervision board B1G030 used in
CS100 systems.
The module will provide the following information for each of the 4 inputs: normal
operation (contact open), alarm (contact closed) and tamper (cable short or open).
Input line supervision is accomplished through the use of series resistors (2x 1.5
KOhm). Each input is connected to the module through 2 screw terminals as
shown in fig. Fig. 23. Line resistance must be less than 500
Ω
