Device interface specification (RXB/RXL)
Interface type
TP1
Transceiver
TP-UART (integrated in device)
Baud rate
9.6 kbps (fixed for TP1)
Transmission
mode

Bus power supply
DC 30 V
Power consumption bus supply

Polarity for bus lines CE+ (red), CE– (black)
non-interchangeable
The communication signal (information) is transferred symmetrically, i.e., as
voltage difference between the two bus lines (and not as a voltage difference to the
earthing potential). The sign preceding the voltage between CE+ and CE–
determines signal values 0 and 1.

Communications basics
The RXB controller supports the Konnex S-mode (system mode). This corresponds
to earlier EIB communications technology and is 100% backward compatible. Data
points are connected using the ETS (EIB Tool Software by Konnex) through "group
addresses" (designation for a connection).

The RXB controller supports Konnex LTE mode (LTE = Logical Tag Extended).
Device data points are assigned to various zones (e.g. outside air temperature
input for an outside zone, the room temperature input, operating mode output,
valve control output, etc., for a geographic zone). Devices are assigned zone
addresses during commissioning. Data points within the same zone then exchange
their process values. Non individual connections required.

RXL communication is proprietary and NOT Konnex compatible. It serves to
communicate with a DESIGO management station of a Synco control unit.
