Program
The Program Mode is used for system configuration, test, control,
and history functions.
When the PXL is in Program Mode, it does
not indicate alarm or supervisory conditions.
The System resets to normal mode after 2 minutes of front panel
inactivity. When the PXL is in the Walk Test Mode, it automatically
returns to normal mode after 20 minutes of inactivity.
Responding to a Fire Alarm
HOW THE SYSTEM ANNUNCIATES FIRE ALARMS
When a fire is detected on one of the initiating device circuits (IDCs),
the PXL causes the
System ALARM
LED and the appropriate
Zone
ALARM
LED on the front panel to flash and the systems internal
audible to sound.
NOTE:
Building occupants should follow the fire emergency evacu-
ation plan approved by the building owner. Then alert the
local Fire Department.
TO ACKNOWLEDGE ALARMS
1. Unlock and open the door.
2. System operator should ACKNOWLEDGE the Fire Alarm by
pressing the ACKNOWLEDGE button on the display.
TO SILENCE THE NOTIFICATION APPLIANCE CIRCUITS
System operator should SILENCE the audibles by pressing the
SILENCE button. Subsequent alarm conditions from other zones will
cause the audibles to sound again, DO NOT RESET THE SYSTEM.
A fire official should locate the cause of the alarm.
TO RESET
Press the
RESET
button. (The system will not reset until all alarms,
supervisories, and troubles are acknowledged and all conditions are
returned to normal.)
