Operation
Using The Menu
The menu gives you wide control of
the MXL System. You may use the
menu no matter what mode the
System is in.
General Instructions for Navigating
the Menu
The five Main Menu items and their
subitems are shown in the MXL Menu
Structure chart on pages 3-28 and 3-
29. Use the command keypad and the
numeric keypad when working with
this menu. (See the
and
cussed previously in this chapter.)
Press
ENTER
to begin a menu ses-
sion. The second line of the display
shows the Main Menu items:

Use the right

or left

arrow
keys to scroll through each menu item
the first letter of each menu item
will blink as it is highlighted. Press
ENTER
to select it and move to the
next menu level.
NOTE:
If you are in the menu and do
not depress an arrow key, a number or
the
ENTER
key at any time during a
one-minute period, the System returns
to the previous item.
To end a menu session and return to
the Main Menu or to leave the menu at
any time, press the Up
(

arrow key
to go backward one menu level each
time.
Entering Your Password
If you select
Control, Test,
or
Walktest,
the System asks for your
password:
ENTER YOUR PASSWORD:
Type your (1-5 digit) password, using
the numeric keypad. The System
shows an asterisk for each digit that
you type. (Use the Left arrow key to
erase an error.)
When you have typed the entire pass-
word, press
ENTER.
If your password
does not match a password stored in
the System, the System briefly displays
the following message and then returns
you to the first password display:
Access Denied
If your password level is not high
enough to use these functions, the
System briefly displays the following
message and then returns you to the
first password display:
Password Level Not High Enough
