6.4 Use control inputs and outputs
6.4.1 Use analog control inputs
The analog control inputs measure the voltage between GND and DC 10 V.

A variable linear resistor 10 k potentiometer with at least 0.05 W (1/20 W) is
required for this function.
The resistor is connected between GND and 10 V. The wiper is connected to an
analog control input.
6.4.2 Use analog control inputs as supervised inputs
The analog control inputs on the 'PACE-Bus' module 'Input/Output extension
(digital 16)' PCIO2001-A1 can be configured as supervised input with setting the
jumper 1 of the ID jumper. See Configuration with the ID jumper [
The inputs are used to supervise the wiring of an external potential free contact.
The wiring is supervised for open circuit and short circuit. The analog control inputs
are displayed in the configuration tool as digital inputs 1-8.
