You define the phone code
(4 - 8 digits) when you call up a
phone-code protected function for
the first time (e.g.

phone-code protected functions.
Following the third unsuccessful at-
tempt, access to the phone code and
the functions that use it is denied.

Clearing SIM card barring
If the PIN is entered incorrectly three
times, the SIM card is barred. Enter
the PUK (MASTER PIN) provided by
your service provider with the
SIM card in accordance with the in-
structions. If the PUK (MASTER PIN)
has been lost, please contact your
service provider.
Preventing accidental
activation
Even if PIN use is deactivated
(page 23) confirmation is required
to switch on the phone.
This prevents accidental activation
of the phone, e.g. when you are
carrying it in a bag or when you are
travelling in an aircraft.

Connecting to PCs
You can connect your phone using
Infrared or a data cable (accessories,
page 135) to a PC. The PC program
MPM (Mobile Phone Manager,
page 122) enables you to backup da-
ta on your PC and to synchronise the
Addressbook with Outlook®, Lotus
Notes™ and other Siemens phones
(as well as Gigaset). You can down-
load the Mobile Phone Manager
from the Internet at
