Switching INDIVIDUAL ZONE OFF/ON (without time limit)
When does a
zone have to be
switched OFF?
ZONES fitted with automatic fire detectors or manual call points can be temporarily switched off.
But this only has to be done in extraordinary situations, for example during major construction
work:

ZONE with smoke detectors

if extraordinary work is producing smoke or
dust

ZONE with heat detectors

if extraordinary work is producing heat or va-

ZONE with manual call points

if an alarm may be activated by mistake

As soon as the conditions return to normal, any switched off ZONES must be switched back on
again straightaway.
NOTE:
A zone which has been switched off will not produce any alarm, warning or fault messages.
Operating ac-
cess
If you still don't have operating access when starting operation work, the release procedure is
automatically called up.
Switching OFF
an individual
zone
(without
time limit)
A zone switched OFF without a time limit remains OFF until switched back ON again.
Perform the following steps to switch OFF a zone without a time limit:
