User-Accessible Connections
Note:
The ultrasound system does not support the U3 USB device type.
USB modem port for user or service network connectivity
USB ports on back of control panel for importing and exporting protocols, archiving, and

USB ports on left side of touch screen for importing and exporting protocols, archiving, and
serviceability (quantity 2)*
DC power socket for optional gel warmer*

CD/DVD Combination Drive
Note:
The DVD recordable media supported by the CD/DVD combination drive is DVD-R or
DVD-RW only. The CD/DVD combination drive does not support DVD+R or DVD+RW formatted
media.
Recordable disk (DVD) drive and hardware for storage, review, and archival of patient and
image data
Disk Media
Caution:
Use only disk media brands that have been qualified by Siemens. You may have
problems saving data to or retrieving data from disk media that has not been qualified by
Siemens.
Only use CD-Rs (recordable compact disks) or DVD-Rs (recordable digital video disks) with the
ultrasound system. The following disk media brands have been qualified by Siemens for use
with the system: JVC, Sony, TDK, Verbatim, and Maxell.
