Virtual Touch IQ Measurements
You can measure the shear wave velocity or elasticity anywhere within the region of interest.
You can perform multiple measurements on a single acquisition. Virtual Touch IQ supports both
measure-then-label and label-then-measure methods and includes a set of measurement
labels:
Up to four sites for generic locations
Up to four lesions
Note:
The 2D-mode thyroid measurement labels are also available during Virtual Touch IQ.
After each labeled measurement using the label-then-measure method, the system displays a
counter below the image to indicate the number of valid measurements and the total number of
all measurements for the active measurement label. A valid measurement is any measurement
that displays a numerical value in the measured results.
To measure shear wave velocity or elasticity:
Note:
You can perform shear wave velocity or elasticity measurements only when the [
Shear Wave
]
setting is
Velocity
.
1. Activate the measurement function, if necessary, and select the shear velocity
measurement tool:
●
Press
CALIPER
and then select
Shear Velocity
or
Elasticity
.
○
For systems without a touch screen, press
CALCS
and then click
Shear Velocity
or
Elasticity
on the measurement menu.
Note:
When you use the label-then-measure method, the system automatically activates the
shear velocity measurement tool when you select a shear velocity measurement label.
2. Position the measurement caliper and then press
SELECT
.
The system displays the measured results for shear velocity in meters per second (m/s).
Measured results for elasticity display in kiloPascals (kPa).
Note:
If you perform a measurement within the region of interest (ROI) that exceeds the current
maximum velocity or elasticity setting, the measured results display
HIGH
for the shear velocity
and elasticity value. If you perform a measurement within the ROI that is lower than the current
minimum velocity and elasticity setting, the measured results display
LOW
. The measured
results display
NA
if the shear wave was not detected within the ROI or if you perform a
measurement outside of the ROI.
