Level of Protection Against Electrical Shock for Probes

According to EN 60601

-

1 and IEC 60601

-

1, the assemblies for the probes provide a “Level of 

Protection Against Electrical Shock” of “Type B.”

 

The Type B icon is located on the probe and probe connector labels

Defibrillators

WARNING: 

To avoid the risk of injury to the operator, remove the probe from patient 

contact before the application of a high-voltage defibrillation pulse.

For patient safety, be sure to use defibrillators that do not have grounded patient circuits.
