USING ADVANCED OPTIONS
6.1
INTRODUCTION
This section explains the advanced options of the Wayside Access Gateway (WAG). The
information in this section is to be used under the supervision of Siemens Rail Automation
personnel.
6.2
BOOT MENU OPTIONS
The Boot Options Screen appears for 5 seconds when the user first boots the WAG. The Boot
Options Screen includes the following 7 options:

Runs the executive software in the WAG

Run Executive internal clocks, RS232,
Command Mode
Run if the WAGs serial interface is configured to
utilize external transmit clocks or external receive
clocks
Runs if the WAGs serial interface is configured for
HDLC-UI mode
To View the Boot Options Screen:
1.
With the terminal emulation software connected to the WAG, restart the WAG. The Boot
Options Screen appears.

Within 5 seconds, the user must make a selection and press Enter.
