Sampling
The processing method for the signal values is specified in the
Sampling
section.
1. If all of the signal values are to be transmitted to the server without any restrictions,
there is no need for any triggers to be set. The setting in the
Trigger
field should be left
as
None
.
2. The
Time sample period
field is used to specify the amount of time for which the signal
values are to be stored before being transmitted to the cloud server. With the default
setting, the signal values will be transmitted every 3,600 seconds.
If, however, the signal values are to be transmitted only when certain conditions apply,
this will need to be set up using the
Trigger
field. Depending on which trigger is selected,
further settings may be required.
You can select from the following triggers for processing signals:
Trigger
Meaning
OnChange
The trigger applies when the current signal value differs from the previous
signal value by more than the value set under the
Threshold
parameter.
OnEnter
The trigger applies when the current signal value falls within the range set
using the
Upper Limit
and
Lower Limit
parameters.
OnExit
The trigger applies when the current signal value is above or below the range
set using the
Upper Limit
and
Lower Limit
parameters.
OnBoth
The trigger applies when the current signal value falls within the range set
using the
Upper Limit
and
Lower Limit
parameters OR when the signal value
is above or below this range.
OnStartup
The trigger applies when a connected application has been launched on the
TDC device.
Hysteresis
The trigger applies when the current signal value is above or below the range
set using the
Upper Limit
and
Lower Limit
parameters in line with the
principle of hysteresis.
This trigger is only applicable when analog signals are being processed.
