and easily at the access point.
Removing a defective device
1. Loosen the M12 plug connectors and remove the connecting cables.
2. Remove the defective device from the mounting bracket.

2. Remove the cover, which is screwed in place, from the replacement device and insert
the microSD card into the corresponding slot.
3. Reattach the cover and screw it in place.
Mounting the replacement device
1. Mount the replacement device back in its mounting location.
2. Connect the connecting cables and screw together the M12 plug connectors.
3. Switch the power supply back on.
Configuring the replacement device
The device parameters saved on the microSD card are used to transfer the IP address and
the transmitting power of the previous device automatically to the new device. The access
authorizations must be updated via the software component, as they are saved directly in
the RFID interrogator.
1. Launch the
ECS
system component.
The replacement device is addressed via the IP address managed in the access point.
All access-related parameters are generally transferred automatically to the
replacement device.
2. Check the status of the synchronization in the
System Overview
. If the access rights
were able to be transferred successfully to the replacement device, the status LED of
the device will be green.
