About this document

Please read this chapter carefully before working with this documentation and the
LMS500/511 laser measurement system.

Function of this document

These operating instructions are designed

to address the technical personnel

in regards to

safe mounting, electrical installation, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of the
following laser measurement system variants:

•

LMS500-20000 (indoor)

•

LMS511-10100 (outdoor), Standard Resolution (SR)

•

LMS511-20100 (outdoor), High Resolution (HR)

See device variants in

section 3.2 “Device variants” on page 15

Important

In the following the variants are termed “LMS” for short, except in cases where exact
differentiation is necessary.
