Mounting notes for the C4000
4.4.1
General notes

During all mechanical work on the machine/system stands, it must be ensured the
machine cannot be damaged by this mechanical work.
Prevent bypassing of the safety device!
On mounting C4000 Standard/Advanced sender and receiver, ensure it is not possible to
bypass the safety device (reaching under, reaching over, reaching around and standing
behind).
Pay attention to safety distance during mounting!
Due to the differences in the housing dimensions and fixing dimensions compared to the
protective device replaced, the safety distance determined previously must be re-adjusted
on fastening the C4000 Standard/Advanced sender and receiver. Use suitable spacers to
set the correct safety distance.
In case of ESPE to be replaced of type LVS, LVU, the C4000 sender is mounted on the side
where the reflector was located previously (see chapter 4.2 “Mounting notes”). A cable
gland may need to be fitted in the machine frame for the supply cable.
In case of ESPE that was realised using an AGS type, these cable glands are already
present. The C4000 sender is installed in place of the AGS sender and the C4000 receiver
is installed in place of the AGS receiver.
4.4.2
Mounting notes on the installation of the C4000 on the machine/system
To avoid unnecessary additional holes on the machine/system, it is possible to use the
existing holes with the mounting recommendations shown in the following. On the
replacement of AGS, there are holes on both sides, on the replacement of LVU and LVS, it
is necessary to make new holes on the reflector side. In the mounting recommendation
with pipe profile, the pipe profile can also be used as a cable duct for the C4000.
It is also possible to use other suitable mounting solutions that provide the necessary
function and safety, e.g. a U-profile.
