Return delivery
Before shipping:

Contact your local SICK representative. The addresses are on the back cover of the
Operating Instructions.
▸
The SICK representative can advise you whether the defective device can be repaired
locally or whether it would more advantageous for you to return the device for repair.
▸
Observe the following when returning the device to SICK:
– Repair flat rates.
– Arrangements for packaging and transport (
see “Transport and storage”, page 42
).
– Replacement devices or putting the device back into operation by SICK Service.
Preparatory work

Clean all device components. Remove any residues that are potentially hazardous to
health.
▸
Complete the Return Form.
▸
Observe the transport instructions (

Disposal
The metal parts of the devices can be disposed of as industrial scrap.

Observe relevant local conditions for disposal of industrial waste.
WARNING:
Disposal of subassemblies containing residual substances harmful to the
environment
The following subassemblies could contain substances that have to be disposed of
separately:

Electronics: capacitors, rechargeable batteries, batteries.

Display: Liquid contained in the LC display.
●
All parts in contact with the sample gas can be contaminated with harmful
substances.
