Configuring external device monitoring (EDM)
Prerequisites
•
External device monitoring can only be configured when the wiring has been cor‐
rectly performed
Approach
1.
Disconnect the device from the voltage supply.
2.
Make sure that the wiring has been performed correctly and that the contactor has
dropped out so that 24 V is present at the EDM input when the device is switched
on
3.
Switch on the voltage supply.
✓
The device is in configuration mode, the INFO LED flashes green.
✓
Diagnostic LED 1 flashes white and signals that the external device monitoring has

which it was connected during configuration.

If necessary: to configure the restart interlock, press the reset pushbutton for
between 1 and 3 s, then release it. If diagnostic LED 4 flashes white, the restart
interlock has been configured.

Disconnect the device from the voltage supply.
✓
The device can now be put into operation.
To deactivate external device monitoring, reset the active unit to the factory settings.
