How to perform picture calibration/rectification
Please be informed that you must be a “Service” level user in order to access the Image
rectification settings.
Please be informed that any changes applied will only be saved, if you have re-activated
the
button.
All inspection regions will be displayed after image processing is finished with a short
delay.
Image rectification flattens the image and changes the size and resolution of an acquired
image. Primarily
helps avoid perspective distortion effect caused by the camera (not being
positioned perpendicular to the object of interest)
.
When the rectification map is applied onto the curved surface of the product sample, the
camera will calculate the mapping between the grid points and flatten/straighten the
image. These points are detected from the distorted image, including the corresponding
grid points of the ideal regular point grid, thereby
significantly increasing the reliability of
the reference shape localization.
We highly recommend enabling the rectification setting for the following samples:
Creased/uneven label samples
All rounded surfaces
Eliminate perspective distortion
