GENERAL
With Shure’s Model WA440 Antenna Rack Mount Kit, the
antennas supplied with Shure wireless microphone re-
ceivers can be mounted on a standard 19–inch (483 mm)
audio equipment rack. Each Kit includes:

One Rack Panel
•
Two 2–Foot RF Cable Assemblies
•
Two Bulkhead Adapters
•
Four Locknuts
•
Four Lockwashers
INSTALLING THE WA440 RACK MOUNT KIT
1.
Mount the rack panel included in the kit to the equip-
ment rack, using four No. 10 screws (not supplied).
2.
If necessary, remove the antennas from the rear pan-
el of the receiver by rotating them counterclockwise.
3.
Remove the locknuts from each bulkhead adapter in-
cluded in the kit and insert the adapters into two holes
in the rack panel.
4.
Install a lockwasher over each end of the bulkhead
adapters.
5.
Reinstall the locknuts over each end of the bulkhead
adapters and tighten them to secure the adapters to
the front panel.
6.
Screw the base of the antenna onto the adapter from
the front of the rack panel.
7.
Connect one end of each RF cable assembly to the
back of the bulkhead adapters.
8.
Attach the free ends of the RF cable assemblies to
the antenna input connectors (Channels A and B) on
the back of the receiver. Installation is now complete.

NOTE: If the rack cabinet has mounting
rails at the rear, the WA440 can be
mounted at the top rear of the rack, with
the antennas protruding from the rear of
the cabinet.
