2 Bay Assembly
Attach the mount to
the bay weldment
Mounting pipe size to 3-1/2
inches outside diameter:
NOTE
For mounting pipes between 3-1/2" and 6" diameter, see the next sec-
tion.
NOTE
The mount is reversible and can be attached to either side of the bay
weldment.
a. Using two screws ( Figure 12 , 1 ) with hardware ( 2 , 3 , and 4 ), attach the balun
mount ( 29 ) to the bay weldment ( 5 ) as shown. Tighten in accordance with
Table 1 on page 1.
b. Using the two 1"-pipe U-bolts ( 30 ) with hardware ( 2 , 3 , and 4 ), secure the
balun mount to the bay weldment. Tighten in accordance with Table 1 .
c. With reference to Table 2 , determine which size mount U-bolts you will be
using.
d. Insert two mounting U-bolts ( 31 or 32 - but not both!) into the slots in the
mount. Install the hardware ( 33 , 34 , and 35 ) loosely onto the U-bolts.
Discard the unused U-bolts.

inches to six inches outside
diameter:
NOTE
For mounting pipes up to 3-1/2" diameter, see the previous section.
NOTE
The mount is reversible and can be attached to either side of the bay
weldment.
a. Using two screws ( Figure 12 , 1 ) with hardware ( 2 , 3 , and 4 ), attach the balun
mount ( 36 ) to the bay weldment ( 5 ) as shown. Tighten in accordance with
Table 1 on page 1.
b. Using the two 1"-pipe U-bolts ( 30 ) with hardware ( 2 , 3 , and 4 ), secure the
balun mount to the bay weldment. Tighten in accordance with Table 1 .
c. Using the galvanized 5/8" hardware ( Figure 12 , 37 , 38 , and 39 ), attach the
threaded rods ( 40 ) to the balun mount.
NOTE
Mount antenna bays with feed straps up, clear of all guylines and other
obstructions.
d. Using the galvanized 5/8" hardware, attach the support clamps ( 41 ) loosely
to the threaded rods ( 40 ).
