HOLD FUNCTION (page 23)
To avoid operations by accidentally pressing the
buttons, use the hold function.
Main Unit:
Hold down the
:OFF-HOLD
button for 2 seconds or
more. (You will hear one beep.)
Then "HOLD on" will appear on the remote control.
To cancel the hold mode, press the
:OFF-HOLD
button
for 2 seconds or more. (You will hear two beeps.)
Then "HOLD off" will appear on the remote control.
Remote Control Unit:
To put the unit in the malfunction prevention state,
move the
HOLD
switch in the direction of the arrow.
To cancel the hold mode, return the
HOLD
switch to
its original position.
To interrupt playback:
Press the
button on the remote control during play-
back.
Press the
button again to resume playback.
To stop playback:
Press the button during playback.
In about 2 minutes after playback is stopped or paused
and left as it is, the unit will be automatically turned off.
To turn off the power:
Press the button while playback is stopped.
(*1) To save your equalizer setting
1) In step (3) of “To set the equalizer”, select “EQ-
USER1”.
2) Press the GROUP button for 2 seconds or more.

The “EQ-USER1” setting screen appears.
3) Slide the button to

to select bass, mid-range or treble.
4) Slide the volume button to the
VOL
or
VOL
repeatedly to adjust the level.

You can select from 3 levels.
5) Repeat steps 3) and 4) to select the level.
6) Press the SOUND button to save the setting.
Repeat steps 1) to 6) to set “EQ-USER2”.
To cancel the operation:
Press the button.
Interruption or inactivity of about 90 seconds
cancel the setting. The setting is not
changed.
Changing the setting:
Perform “To save your equalizer setting” from step 1).
Notes:
The equalizer and surround effects can be used
at the same time. To toggle the menu between
equalizer and surround, hold down the SOUND
button during the setting.
When setting the sound field or bass, press the
GROUP button to switch the menu to equalizer
or surround.
