Communication with AS-Interface Double Slave GLK31A

CTT2 protocol via AS-Interface
You can use the GLK31A double slave to exchange MOVILINK
®
parameters between
an AS-Interface master and a MOVIGEAR
®
inverter.
The B-slave with slave profile S-7.A.F.5 uses the CTT2 protocol. For a description of the
profile, refer to the appendix of the "Complete AS-Interface Specification Version 3.0,
Revision 2, July 9, 2008".
Telegram runtime
System-related telegram runtimes occur during data exchange between MOVIGEAR
®
B-slave and AS-Interface master using the CTT2 protocol. These runtimes mainly
depend on the number of slaves in the AS-Interface network.
The following diagram shows the connection between the telegram runtime and the
number of AS-Interface slave addresses during the transmission of a MOVILINK
®
parameter:
SEW-EURODRIVE therefore recommends to add a safety factor to those values.
Controlling the MOVIGEAR
®
inverter via the cyclical data bits of the A-slave continues
even during the transmission of parameters of the B-slave.
