5.3.1
Connecting supply system leads
• The nominal voltage and frequency of the MOVIFIT
®
unit must correspond to the
data of the supplying system.
• Size the cable cross section according to the input current I
line
for rated power (see
"Technical data" chapter).
• Install fuses at the beginning of the power supply cables behind the supply bus
junction.
The following fuses are permitted:
– Fuses in utilization category gG
– Power circuit breakers with characteristic B or C
– Motor protection switch
Size the fuses according to the cable cross section.
• Use contactor switch contacts from utilization category AC-3 according to
EN 60947

• Switch the MOVIFIT
®
unit output with inhibited output stage only.
5.3.2
Residual current device
WARNING
No protection against electric shock if an incorrect type of residual current device is
used.
Severe or fatal injuries.
• Use only universal current sensitive residual current devices of type B for 3-
phase frequency inverters.
• 3-phase frequency inverters generate a DC current component in the leakage cur-
rent and can significantly reduce the sensitivity of an residual current device of type
A. A type A residual current device is this not permitted as protection device.
Only use type B residual current devices.
• If the use of a residual current device is not mandatory according to the standards,

EURODRIVE recommends not to use a residual current device.

Line contactor
• Use contactor switch contacts of utilization category AC-3 according to
EN 60947
