PROFIBUS-DP timeout

PROFIBUS-DP Operating Characteristics

The following figure shows the corresponding project planning for the DHP11B control
card in the hardware configuration of STEP7 (

5.2

PROFIBUS-DP timeout

The response monitoring time on the DHP11B control card elapses (if configured in the
DP master) if data transfer via the PROFIBUS-DP system is disrupted or interrupted.
The 

Fault Profibus

 LED lights up to indicate that no new user data is being received.

The function module addressing the PROFIBUS indicates this PROFIBUS timeout. The
fault response can be programmed explicitly. The application flow can be influenced
accordingly.
