Special aspects for operation with frequency inverter
When motors are powered from inverters, you must observe the wiring instructions is-
sued by the inverter manufacturer. It is essential that you observe chapter "Operating
modes and limit values" as well as the operating instructions of the frequency inverter.
5.8
Improving the grounding (EMC)
For improved low-impedance grounding at high frequencies, we recommend using the
following connections with DR/DV(E) AC motors:
• DVE250 and 280: M16 screw and 2 serrated lock washers in the bore of the eyebolt

Special aspects in switching operation
When the motors are used in switching operation, possible interference of the switch-
gear must be excluded by ensuring suitable wiring. According to IEC 60204 (electrical
equipment of machines), motor windings must have interference suppression to protect
the numerical or programmable logic controllers. As it is primarily switching operations
that cause interference, SEW-EURODRIVE recommends installing protective circuitry
in the switching devices.
