For brakemotors with manual brake release, screw in the hand lever (for HR self-
reengaging manual brake release).
•
Turn the rotor by hand and listen for unusual grinding noise.
•
Check the direction of rotation in decoupled state.

Installation in damp locations or in the open
•
Try to arrange the motor and encoder connection so that the connector cables do
not point upwards.
•
Clean the sealing surfaces of the connector (motor or encoder connection) before
reassembly.
•
If necessary, restore the anti-corrosive paint coat.
•
Check that the degree of protection is maintained.
