Configuring the measurement alarms
5.20.1
Alarm modes and levels
Two separate
measurement alarms are available for the gas measurement and you can configure each
alarm to operate in one of three modes:
Alarm mode Operati

None
The alarm is not used (that is, an alarm condi�on will not be ac�vated under
any circumstances).
Low alarm
An alarm condi�on will be ac�vated when a sample measurement is lower than
the pre-set
alarm level. *
High alarm
An a
larm condi�on will be ac�vated when a sample measurement is higher
than the pre-set
alarm level. *
* During a calibra�on, an alarm will only be ac�vated if the alarm ‘Follow’ op�on is set to Yes.
While a measurement alarm condi�on is ac�vated:
•
An
‘alarm’ icon is shown on the measurement screen. The number ("1" or "2") in the
icon will iden�fy the alarm which has been triggered.
•
The alarm LED on the front of the analyser flashes on and off.
•
The a
ppropriate alarm relay will be triggered. You can view the details of the ac�vated
alarm: see Sec�on 5.20.4
.
Note:
Ensure that the measurement alarm and hysteresis levels are not too close to the
expected sample measurements. (If there are minor and acceptable variations in you
r
sample gas concentrations this will reduce spurious alarms).
