RxControl: Communication > Network Settings > Security

Use this command to conﬁgure the IP ﬁltering functionality. When IP ﬁltering is enabled, only
the speciﬁed IP addresses are allowed to connect to the receiver.

By default, IP ﬁltering is off (the

Mode

argument is

off

) and the receiver accepts connections

from any IP address.

When enabling IP ﬁltering (

Mode

set to

on

), the

AddrList

argument must contain a whitespace-

separated list of IP addresses (IPv4) allowed to connect to the receiver. Only IP addresses are
allowed here, not hostnames. To enable a whole range of IP addresses, a netmask can also be
speciﬁed using the so-called "slash notation", where the IP address is followed by a forward
slash (/) and the subnet mask number from 0 to 32.

After entering the command, existing IP connections are kept active, but any new connection
from a non-allowed IP address will be rejected.

Note that IP ﬁltering is not applicable to the WiFi interface when the receiver is conﬁgured in
access point mode.
