Transmitter Check
A diagnostic test can be conducted to see if the transmitter is free from any problem. If an error is detected upon diagnosis,
there is a possibility that it presents a risk to maintaining accurate measurement. You are prompted to follow the instruc
-
tions given below:
Note
While the check is in progress, flow metering is disabled with the flow rate at zero.
F a i l u r e
Navigate to the
Self-Diag
screen as described in the Transition Charts in
this manual.
To run the transmitter check, select “Txr Condition” and touch “SEL1.”
A sequential check of each item will begin. During the check, the green
LED light will blink on and off.
If “OK” appears next to each item, no errors with the transmitter were
found. After a short time, the
Self-Diag
screen will automatically
reappear.
If “NG” appears next to any item, a possible error with the transmitter was
detected, as described below. If so, verify the sensor connections. If
sensor connections appear OK but erratic performance persists, an open
sensor is possible. Contact Cameron.
Temp Connect.
Potential fault in temperature sensor connections.
P. O. Connect.
Potential fault in pick-off sensor connections.
Drive coil.
Potential fault in drive coil sensor connections. Run a Drive
Coil check (as described in this manual). If no drive coil errors are
identified and the connections are OK, contact Cameron.
EEPROM.
Erratic data in EEPROM. Potential problem in operation.
Contact Cameron.
Data Update.
Data error. Potential problem in operation. Contact
Cameron.
Txr Temp.
Internal tranmitter temperature outside acceptable range.
Continued operation will reduce service life of parts. Take steps to lower
internal temperature. If “NG” sign persists despite normal ambient
temperatures, a transmitter defect is possible. Contact Cameron.
Touch “SEL1.”
Touch “ENT.”
Touch “ENT.”
CHECK FAILED
CHECK PASSED
If a message appears indicating that correct measurement is no longer
supported under current conditions (see figure at left), touch “ENT” to exit
the transmitter check and return to the
Self-Diag
screen.
To exit the transmitter check process, touch “ENT” after reviewing the
information on the screen.
Touch “ENT.”
