Carburetor
Prime Start system
The Prime Start system adjusts the amount of fuel that is sent to the carburetor according to the
time that the power to the power bobbin is turned on.
When the engine is started, the Prime Start plunger
1
is fully retracted and the fuel enrichment
valve
2
is fully open to enrich the air and fuel mixture during engine starting and warm up.
While the engine is warming up, the power to the Prime Start system is turned on and the Prime
Start plunger
1
extends to close the fuel enrichment valve
2
gradually. As the valve closes the fuel
passage, the amount of fuel from the fuel enrichment valve decreases.
After the engine has warmed up, the Prime Start plunger
1
is fully extended and the fuel enrich-
ment valve
2
is fully closed.
