Shutter speed and f-stop (aperture) values can be displayed in full, 1/2 and 1/3 stop increments in Custom Setting. (See
P51 for details.)

After taking a measurement, changing T setting value will also change the measured value (f-stop).

After taking a measurement, changing ISO value will also change the measured value (f-stop).

Touching the Average/ΔEV button (
) at the bottom of the screen activates the Contrast Function. (See P46 for

The Analog Scale display will change according to Measuring Mode, Incident/Reflected and Mid-Tone mode selected
as well as “Set Analog Scale” in Menu list. (See P25 and P49 for details.)

5-2-1. Cord (PC) Flash Mode
In this measuring mode, a synchro cord (sold separately) is used to connect the flash to
the meter . Use Cord Mode when you need to measure to total output of the flash or
for measuring flash bulbs.
1. Connect the synchro cord (sold separately) to
the meter’s synchro terminal

2. Touch the Measuring mode icon to open the
Measuring Mode Selection Screen, then touch
the
icon to select Cord (PC) Flash
Mode and return the screen view to Measuring
screen. (See P25 for details.)
3. Set the ISO sensitivity value on the ISO icon.
4. Set shutter speed on the T (shutter speed)
icon.
* Be sure the settings are within the
specifications of the flash equipment.
5. Press the Measuring button

on the side of
meter.
The flash will fire and the measured value
(f-stop) will be displayed.

The electronic flash unit may trigger when the meter or flash is turned ON or when the synchro cord is plugged into the
meter.
•
Triggering voltage is 2.0 to 300 volts. Below 2.0V, trigger the flash with Cordless Flash Mode (See P35 for details) or
Radio Flash Mode (Please refer to the Radio Control Flash Operating Manual).
•
When measuring a flash bulb, be sure to check the synchronization range and set the proper shutter speed.
