1) Connecting Unit to Power
■Connecting to 5V DC Power
Use a Power Cable to connect to 5V DC.

Power Cable Specification

Power Cable (SWDK-102), can be used for the development Kit.
Power Cable should be connected by shorter route than switching power.
Be sure to wire separately by sequence the input-output device, power device, and power of EM8.
Do not turn the power OFF while the unit is booting.
2) Connecting to LAN cable
Connect LAN cable with network.
If it doesn’t connect network, LAN cable doesn’t need to connect.
*LAN cable is not included in this package.
3) Connecting to the battery
Please connect the battery when RTC and SRAM data backup is needed.
*RTC and SRAM can be used without battery
When inserting the battery, please check the + and - poles, and do not perform wrong insertion.
Dispose of used batteries according to domestic law
4) Connecting to USB Mini-B cable
EM8 can be used as USB mass storage by USB connection to PC
If EM8 doesn’t connect with PC, USB Mini-B cable doesn’t need.

USB Mini cable is not included in this package.
5) Connecting to USB device
USB device such as keyboard, mouse (HID class), USB memory (Mass Storage Class) can connect with EM8.
*It does not guarantee accurate function for all USB devices available in the market.
6) Connecting to communication cable
Communication cable is connection with serial port
