Skis poles are held in the center slot (see Figure 4). Place the poles in the slot of one rack with the tips and
baskets on the outside of the deck. Both poles should be in the same bottom slot; when carrying two sets of
poles, one set goes in each half of the slot. In the other rack, place the poles in the center slot with the grips on
the outside of the deck. On each deck, insert the tip of the Ball Bungee’s cord through the bottom of the two
stacked 1/2” holes, then push the cord tip through the top hole from the other side (see Figure 4). With the loop
protruding from the top hole, push the ball end of the cord through the loop and pull tight to secure the Ball
Bungee. Wrap the cord over and around the poles and secure the ball in one of the two slots at the bottom of the
rack.
Where to Attach

specifically designed to attach to a car’s roof top. Ideally, the
vacuum cups on your rack should be attached in the front and
back corners of your car’s roof, where the roof is most solid. The
metal of some car roofs may be thin enough in the middle of the
roof that the weight of the rack and skis/snowboards can cause
non-permanent bowing in the metal. Another recommended
mounting position is on the car’s trunk or rear deck, with the skis
or snowboards extending forward onto the rear windshield or the
back part of the roof. The rack can also be mounted on the rear
window of an SUV or hatchback so long as the rack and skis/
snowboards are positioned low enough to be out of the wind
stream when the vehicle is in motion. Please see the mounting
position diagrams for a graphic representation of these
recommendations.
Each vacuum cup on your SeaSucker rack should attach to
clean, unobstructed metal or glass surface. The vacuum cups will
not attach over a seam or other surface incongruity. Attaching
your rack to a sunroof is done at your own risk and we strongly
recommend that you test the strength and suitability of your
sunroof first.
The Pallavicini Ski Rack is designed to carry two sets of skis
and poles, or two snowboards. Position the carriers so that the
shortest set of skis, set of poles, or snowboard fits securely in
the slots of both carriers.
