3.1.
Hold torque wrench in one hand so that required scale
is uppermost and visible.
3.2.
Pull the adjusting ring down and turn it and the handle base to adjust to the nearest 5Nm on the scale. The
final adjustment is made using the gradations on ring.
3.3.
For example to set the Torque Wrench to 63Nm:
• Pull the adjusting ring down and turn the handle base until the ring is level with the 60Nm mark. Turn further
until the '3' on the ring, lays upon the centre line of the Torque Nm scale.
3.4.
When tightening the nut/bolt you will feel and hear the wrench mechanism click when the set torque is reached.
Immediately stop applying force to the wrench to avoid overtightening the nut/bolt.
Note: If the torque wrench has not been used for some time, operate it a few times, at a low setting, to
ensure all internal parts are coated in grease.

4.1.
In order to ensure continued accuracy, the torque wrench should be recalibrated annually and after any
impact or other misuse. Sealey offer a recalibration service (Model Number is CAL38) or contact a
NAMAS accredited laboratory.
