6) Choke Levers
The chokes are provided to supply a
richer fuel/air mixture when starting
cold engines. When the levers are
completely pulled, the chokes are fully
applied. The use of the chokes are not
required with warm engines.
Choke levers must be pulled and held
to operate. They will automatically re-
turn to their normal position when re-
leased.

7) Navigation Light
Switch
A 3-position NAV/OFF/ANC push type
switch.
NOTE:
The navigation lights may be
operated without the safety lanyard
on DESS post.
Press switch to first position to turn on
the stern light (anchorage position).
Press switch to second position to
turn on the bow and stern lights.
Press to OFF position to turn off navi-
gation lights.
Navigation lights should always be
used between sunset and sunrise. En-
sure the stern light is installed. See
Removable Stern Light
in this sec-
tion for location and installation.
NOTE:
Switches and gauges are lit
when navigation lights are turn on.

Directional control is not avail-
able when engines are stopped.
