WARNING
Device damage! Risk of injury
No modification of the Carriazo-Pendular equipment is allowed.
Unauthorized changes to any component of the device without the supplier’s
authorization may result in device damage or operator/patient injury.
9.1
Technical Safety Check (TSC)
Technical safety inspections will be carried out at regular intervals by
our authorized Service
Representatives
and documented in the Medical Device Logbook (Medical Apparatus Book).
The technical safety inspections contain the exchange of accessories, components, wear parts
and the device interfaces used in connection with the deployment of the device, whenever the
safety of system usage can be significantly influenced by these secondary components.
IMPORTANT NOTE
If inadequacies are found at a technical inspection which can affect the safety of
patients, users or third parties, the device must not be used until the deficiencies
have been eliminated
9.1.1
Maintenance of Batteries and Accumulators
a) Clock battery - Type CR2430, 3V
No maintenance or exchange by the user. Battery to be changed by trained service personnel
only. Is routinely
yearly
changed in the TSC.
b) Accumulator - 2 x sealed lead accumulator, 12V 2Ah each
Is automatically charged and maintained in a fully usable condition whenever the device is
connected to mains. Charging in progress is indicated by green "Charge" indicator.
No maintenance or exchange by the user, to be changed by trained service personnel only.
Is routinely checked for battery fitness during the TSC yearly, and routinely changed in the TSC
every three years.
CAUTION
Keep the batteries away from children!
Do not swallow, open, recharge or expose to water, fire or high temperature: may
explode, leak or cause damage.
Please consider the disposal instructions of the backup batteries, refer to chapter
9.7 Disposal.
