Row Crop Wheel Standard Spacing
FX-742 has adjustable wheel standards so it can be used in Row Crop.
Adjust the wheel standards to the following dimensions according to your row width from 12” to 38 “(305 mm to
0.96 m). All dimension are from the end of beam to the center of the wheel standard as shown. Wheels may
not be centered in row but are placed to allow for level machine operation.
They hydraulic phasing cylinder kit requires one double acting hydraulic circuit for operation. The system is
comprised of three hydraulic cylinders with depth stop collars, and allows all wheels to be raised and lowered
simultaneously.
Before operations, all air must be purged from the hydraulic lift circuit. Fully raise the cutter and hold the
tractor’s hydraulic control lever forward for 5 minutes to allow oil to fully circulate through the phasing cylinder
circuit.
During operation, the phasing cylinders should periodically be phased. The hydraulic lever should only have to
be held for 10-15 seconds to ensure system is phased.
