FX-1800/FX-1200 07/20

Assembly Section 3-10

SHROUDING

Refer to the Shrouding Section of the Parts Manual.

1 . The fixed shrouding on the center section is attached to the cutter using the mounting holes. Attach with

six 1/2”x3-3/4” bolts, six 1/2” washers and six 1/2” locking flange nuts.

2 . The center section adjustable shrouding is attached to the fixed shrouding using the slots on the adjustable

shrouds and the mounting holes on the fixed shrouds. Attach with ten 1/2”x1-1/2” bolts, ten 1/2” washers

and ten 1/2” locking flange nuts. Ensure the bolt heads are on the inside of the shrouding. The adjustable

shrouding goes on the outside of the fixed shrouding.

3 . The fixed shrouding on the wing sections is attached to the cutter using the mounting holes. Attach with

two 1/2”x1-1/2” bolts, two 1/2” washers and two 1/2” locking flange nuts (per wing).

4 . The adjustable shrouds on the wing sections are attached to the fixed shrouds using the slots on the

adjustable shrouds and the mounting holes on the fixed shrouds. Attached with two 1/2”x1-1/2” bolts, two

1/2” washers and two 1/2” locking flange nuts (per wing).

Shrouding Kit

The shrouding on the FX-1800 includes a fixed component and an adjustable component. For a wider material

distribution, the shrouds should be set to the position closest to the cutter. To reduce the amount of material

distributed, the shrouds should be set to the position furthest from the cutter.
