Thank you for choosing our product.
The SCHROTH Racing “Double Take Ratchet-Release Racing Net”
uses a unique patented ratchet-release system for ease of
emergency exit, using the red “lanyard” to disengage the net. The
net is made from Polyester, it should be mounted tight when
installed, but does not have to be “guitar string” tight to work
correctly.
Please follow the simple installation instructions below:
1) Install and attach net, using the FIA 8863-2013 Racing Net
Installation Specification Guide [see www.fia.com]. All attach
points must be capable of handling a 2250lbf [10kN] applied
pull load. The front strap can be attached with bolt-in, clip-in
or wrap around option, using the 3-bar slide. Please call for
information on available manufacturer mounting solutions.
2) Adjust net using the 3-bar slide to get the net as tight as
possible. *(see 3-bar adjustment image)
3) Make sure you are satisfied with the location and attach points
of the net.
4) Tighten the ratchet latch until about 6 ft-lbf [8 Nm] is reached.
