1 Introduction
1.1
Function
These operating instructions describe the safe installation and use of the
BioPAT
®
Xgas. The operating personnel must read these instructions prior to
operational startup. These instructions should always be available at the
workplace.
1.2
Target Group
These operating instructions are designed for qualified personnel. Only
qualified personnel may set up BioPAT
®
Xgas, connect it to the bioreactor or
perform in-process operation or maintenance.

Notes on Using these Instructions
All information in these operating instructions considers the state of the art,
the applicable standards and guidelines, and our many years of experience
and knowledge.
These operating instructions provide you with all the information necessary to
install and operate the BioPAT
®
Xgas (referred to as “device” in the following).
The operating instructions must be read and used by all persons entrusted
with the operation, service, cleaning, and troubleshooting of the device.
This applies particularly to the safety instructions listed.
