1. General information
•
Carefully read these operating instructions through as they contain important information
for the safe and correct use of the crêpe maker.
•
It is advisable to keep the operating instructions in a place where you have them always
ready to hand.
•
Should you pass the appliance on to a third party, these operating instructions must be
handed on.
•
As soon as you have unpacked the appliance, check whether everything is in a faultless
condition. Should anything be damaged, do not connect the appliance as such, but
inform your dealer.
•
Dispose the packing material according to the local regulations. All the packaging items
(plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene foam, nails, etc..) must not be left within reach of
children, in that they are potential sources of danger.
•
The appliance must only be used for the intended purpose. Improper use can cause
damages and lead to the loss of the warranty. Do not use the crêpe-maker outdoors.
•
In the case of fault and/or malfunction, switch the appliance off. Pull the power plug and
inform your dealer. He will carry out the repair with original spare parts
.
•
Please observe the local regulations concerning accident prevention and disposal.
•
The manufacturer/dealer cannot be made responsible for damages which arise through
not observing these operating instructions. Apart from this, if these instructions are not
observed, oven safety is no longer guaranteed.
2. Safety notes
•
Before you connect the appliance, make sure that the tension indicated on the
identification plate agrees with the tension on your electricity mains. Other types of
current can lead to the overheating of the appliance.
•
Do not touch the plug with moist or wet hands.
•
Regularly check the cable and the plug. If something is damaged, it must be replaced by
a qualified specialist.
•
Never do attempt to repair the appliance by yourself.
•
The cable must not hang over table edges and/or sharp edges. It also must not come into
contact with the hot appliance or with water. Pull the cable only at the plug from the plug
socket.
•
When positioning the electrical cable, make sure that it doesn’t present a trip hazard
during use of the appliance.
•
Place the appliance on a flat and heat-resistant surface and at least 20 cm far a way from
walls and from objects sensitive to heat. The appliance should not stand in the proximity
of open flames (p. e. gas ovens) or reach of children.
•
Do not leave the crêpe maker unattended while it is in use. Children are not able to
realise dangers when handling electronic appliances.
•
Do not touch the hot plate.
•
Do not use steel wool for the plate, because it is Teflon coated.
•
The appliance must not be put into water or hosed with water.
•
Before each cleaning switch off the appliance and pull out the plug from the plug socket.
