QUARTZ HEATING ELEMENTS
The infrared rays created inside the quartz heating elements can reach temperatures of
up to 800°C within half a minute. These are natural heating rays similar to the sun’s
rays. As the quartz heating system does not consume oxygen, there is no production of
toxic carbon dioxide gas.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•
If the power cord is damaged in any way DO NOT continue using the heater. The
power cord should be replaced by a qualified technician.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches
the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or
positioned incorrectly.
•
Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
•
The instructions for heaters with heating elements that are in direct contact with
accessible glass panels shall state that the heater must not be used if the glass is
damaged.
•
Do not place the heater immediately below a socket outlet.
•
The water level in the reservoir cannot be higher than the “HIGH” mark, also
cannot be lower than the “LOW” mark. If the water reservoir is overfilled, boiling
water may be ejected.
•
Pour the water through the side hole when you are not using the appliance and
before cleaning.
•
Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of hot water
vapor.
•
Unplug the appliance during filling the water reservoir and before cleaning.
•
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•
Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
