: You can have multiple pauses in a phone number and combine 2-second and hard
pauses.
To dial or save phone numbers with pauses:
1. Enter the phone number and press
Options
(right softkey).
2. Select
either
Hard Pause
or
2-Sec. Pause
. Hard Pauses are displayed as a “P” and
2-second pauses as a “T”.
3. Enter additional numbers.
4. To dial the number, press TALK . (When dialing a number with a hard pause, press TALK
to send the next set of numbers.)

Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can use either of the following abbreviated
dialing features.
Ph.Book Match
allows you to retrieve any number saved in your Contacts by entering only
the last three to six digits of the number, and automatically dials the retrieved number. (See
“
To activate the Ph. Book Match feature
”
on page 26.)
Prepend
allows you to prepend predefined numbers (first five or six digits) to the last four
or five digits you enter, and then automatically dials the number. (See page 26 to register a
prepend number and activate the Prepend feature.)
To place a call using Ph.Book Match Abbreviated Dialing:
1.
Enter the last three to six digits of a Contacts entry
’
s phone number.
2.
Press TALK. If there is more than one matched number in your Contacts, the Abbrev. Dial list
is displayed.
3.
Select the name you want to call from the list, and then press TALK to place a call.

and a number is saved in your Contacts (regardless

Prepend

or
Off
), you can display the number by entering its last three to
six digits.
To place a call using Prepend Abbreviated Dialing:
