Opening the Engine Hood

1. Insert the key into the lock (1) and turn the key

counterclockwise to unlock the engine hood (2).
2. Pull the engine hood open.
3. Position the support rod (4) in the support bracket (3)
slot to prevent the engine hood from closing
unexpectedly.
Closing the Engine Hood
1. Pull the support rod out of the slot in the support bracket.
2. Close the engine hood and make sure it is firmly seated in the latch.
3. Insert the key into the lock, turn it clockwise to lock, and remove the key.
