END OF WORKDAY CHECKS
1. Remove all built-up mud or debris on the undercarriage and machine exterior.
2. Collect any trash or debris from the cab and deposit it in a proper disposal container.
3. Inspect the machine’s work equipment, the machine’s exterior, and its undercarriage for signs of fluid leaks or
damage.
4. For operation in oceanic (salt-air) environments, thoroughly wash away any salt residue. Apply grease where
rust is found, and perform maintenance on electrical components to prevent corrosion.
Parking and Storing the Machine
Overnight Storage
1. Park the machine on a flat, level, stable surface.
2. Lower the work equipment to the ground.
3. Run the machine at low idle for 5 minutes to allow the engine to cool. Extend this cool-down time in hot
weather.
4. Turn the key switch to OFF and remove the key.
5. Set the hydraulic lockout control lever to the locked (closed) position.
6. Fill the fuel tank.
7. Make sure that the following items are secured and
locked:
•
Cab door (1).
•
Engine cover (2).
•
Left rear access panel (3).
•
Air conditioner fresh-air inlet door (4).
NOTICE!
Always remove the key and take it with you when leaving the machine for any amount of time.
Keep the key with you to prevent unauthorized operation of the machine.
